DeckBase is built with the conviction that your study materials and progress belong to you. This policy explains how we handle information on the website and in the app.

The DeckBase App

All of your source material (textbooks, PDFs, lecture notes), generated flashcards, and study data are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your personal academic content on our servers.

• AI generation can run locally or via privacy-preserving calls — your raw content is never retained by us
• No behavioral tracking or cross-user analytics
• No account required for core studying features
• Full offline capability after initial card creation

This Website — Waitlist

When you join the waitlist we collect only:

• Your email address
• The timestamp of your signup

We use this information exclusively to notify you when DeckBase launches and to grant early access + founding pricing. Waitlist data lives in a private spreadsheet accessible only to the DeckBase team. We never sell, rent, or share your email for marketing.

This site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Medical & Professional Student Privacy

We understand that many of our users are medical, law, and professional students whose notes may contain sensitive material. We designed DeckBase so that your content never needs to leave your phone. We maintain a minimal data posture by design.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to know what information we hold about you and to request deletion of your waitlist entry. Email us at hello@deckbase.app and we will respond promptly.

Data Deletion

Deleting the DeckBase app removes all your local data. To be removed from the waitlist, contact the email above and we will delete your record from our sheet.
